Account Operations Manager

About Us

Canary Content is a fast-growing digital marketing agency focused on SEO and AI visibility. We help B2B and B2C brands rank on Google and get cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews. We're looking for an AI-fluent colleague to join the team full-time and help run the company's day-to-day operations as well as some project management.

The Role

You'll keep things running. That means handling the technical side of our SEO and AEO work, publishing content, staying in touch with clients, and keeping projects on schedule. You'll work closely with leadership and coordinate our writers and contractors.

What You'll Do

Technical SEO and AEO support, including:

The vast majority of this is going to be monitoring an AI to run this aspect, so it's ok if you don't have experience in all of this

- Running site audits and fixing crawl, indexing, and site speed issues
- Adding schema markup (FAQ, Article, Organization, etc.)
- Managing XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicals, and redirects
- Setting up and monitoring Google Search Console and analytics
- Optimizing title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal links
- Structuring content so AI engines can easily pull from it and cite it




- Tracking keyword rankings and AI visibility across platforms

Operations and execution:

- Publishing content in WordPress, Webflow, and other CMS platforms
- Serving as a day-to-day point of contact for clients
- Managing contractors, deadlines, and deliverables
- Building and improving the systems, templates, and workflows that keep us organized

Who You Are

- You have an operations, admin, or digital marketing background.
- You use AI tools every day to get real work done
- You love systems. Your project boards are clean, and nothing slips through the cracks
- You follow how search and AI are changing, and you enjoy keeping up
- You're comfortable managing contractors and talking with clients
- You write clearly and take ownership of your work

Nice to Have

- Agency experience or experience managing multiple client accounts
- Familiarity with Ahrefs, Semrush, or Screaming Frog
- Experience with B2B content in finance, real estate, or similar industries
