Specialty: Student Support – Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders
Job Summary: Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of speech, language, and hearing‑impaired students, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety, security and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Education, Training & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) or related field
Enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Speech‑Language Pathology or related field
OR Acceptance into a Master’s degree program in Speech‑Language Pathology or related field within a year of hire

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

Valid and current Florida certification in the field, or hold appropriate state license for position





Bachelor‑level and clinical fellowship year applicants encouraged to apply.
Mentoring and supervision for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) available.
Additional Compensation for Teaching an Extra Period: If required to teach an additional period beyond the base contract, you will receive supplemental compensation at the negotiated rate (currently $5,500 for a full year). Amount is paid in equal payments per the District’s payroll calendar and considered part of your salary for the Florida Retirement System.
Background Screening: Pasco County Schools uses the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.
