We are seeking an

SAP MDG Lead Expert

to drive the design, implementation, and enhancement of our Master Data Governance platform.

In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure optimal data quality across domains such as Material (MM), Business Partner (Customer/Vendor), and Finance (FI), while serving as a key architect in shaping our data governance strategy.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture and design of SAP MDG solutions, covering data modeling, UI modeling (Floorplan Manager), and process modeling (BRF+ workflows)

Define data standards, validation rules, and enrichment processes to support robust governance frameworks

Oversee integration between MDG, SAP S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems using ALE/IDoc, Data Replication Framework (DRF), and OData services

Manage full-cycle SAP MDG implementations from requirement gathering to Go-Live and hyper-care

Supervise data migration initiatives and ensure alignment with business requirements

Establish frameworks for data ownership and monitor KPIs for data health

Mentor and manage functional and technical team members, providing architectural and technical guidance

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions

Oversee the creation of technical and functional specifications for integrating MDG with satellite systems, including ESB platforms like Mulesoft and SAP PI

Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, focusing on performance optimization and data quality





Facilitate stakeholder communication by effectively presenting complex data governance concepts

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP Data Management with at least one full-cycle SAP MDG implementation as a Lead

Background in SAP MDG domains such as MDG-M, MDG-S, MDG-C, and MDG-F

Expertise in frameworks like BRF+ and FPM, combined with strong proficiency in ABAP Objects, BAdIs, and Web Dynpro

Competency in SAP Data Services, Information Steward, and SAP BTP, with experience integrating SAP MDG with 20+ satellite systems through ESB platforms like Mulesoft or SAP PI

Familiarity with migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA and synchronization of Business Partner data (CVI)

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical audiences

Certification: SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Master Data Governance (preferred)

English proficiency at B2 level or higher
