- Main Purpose:

Field Service Engineer (FSE) is a field-based position responsible for technical support of equipment and technical solutions installed at customer’s clinical laboratories, as well as ensuring the reputation of the company and its products. The main functions are to carry out installations,

preventive and corrective maintenance to advanced technology instruments, to ensure performance according to product specifications.

Main Responsabilities:

- Installation and Preventive / Corrective Maintenance of clinical laboratory autoanalyzer such as Hematology Counters, Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay Autoanalyzers, Automation Processors.

- Troubleshoot instrument failures on pneumatic, hydraulic and electronics modules and determine the most effective and efficient solution.

- Diagnose problems in micro mechanics and robotic automation systems and their computerized control systems and apply corrective actions in accordance to technical procedures.

- Interprets customer's biochemical information about observed symptoms and determines the root causes and solution to the reported problem.

- Transmits complex problems to a higher level of technical support and/or quality team to ensure the concurrence of all available technical support means when dealing with a problem that requires a higher level of support aware of the impact on customer processes.

- Works closely with commercial and operations teams with the aim of protecting, maintaining and increasing the company's business, focusing on the installed base.

- Communicates regularly with different teams and management levels.

- Drives continuous improvement in activities and processes, which add value to the customers and the business. Focus on instrument performance specifications, customer quality control specs and customer support in product use and maintenance.

- Calibrates priorities and tasks to improve the customer experience.

- Sells the value and benefits of Beckman Coulter solutions.

- Helps to identifies new needs initially not detected by the customer and collaborates with the team to provide the right solutions.

- Reports any oral or written communication of the customer in the quality system of Beckman Coulter.

Knowledge/Education, Skills and Experience

- This position requires self-motivation, constructive attitude, proactivity, critical and analytical thinking, accountability, high organizational capacity, clear customer orientation, high degree of technical knowledge in the supported product lines, communicative skills, in the same way as conflict management skills .

- More than 3 years of experience in similar positions with experience in technical support services in the In -Vitro Diagnostic market (IVD) (not exclusive)

- Full time dedication and disposition to work on extended hours and on-call guard (once a month)

- Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical or Mechanics).

- English fluent communication (advanced level oral and written comprehension).

- Driving license and passport.

- Position requires availability for local and regional technical support travels .

- Ability to communicate effectively, experience and/or skills to provide customer on-site training.

- Ability to adapt and comply with Company/Customer requirements

- C apacity for interpersonal relationship, teamwork and problem solving.

- Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision

- Adherence to corporate processes and procedures. Knowledge of office software at the medium/advanced user level.
