Sr Associate Law:



The Senior Associate Law will be located in Buenos Aires and will assist the Amgen Law team for Argentina and Mexico.



There is scope to be involved in other legal work for Amgen Latin America affiliates in collaboration with the Legal Lead in those affiliates, dependent on experience and workload.



The successful candidate will report solid line to Amgen’s Law and Compliance Senior Manager, located in Buenos Aires, and dotted line to Amgen’s Legal Counsel Mexico, located in Mexico City.



This broad-based role encompasses the following day-to-day activities :



Accountabilities / Responsibilities





- Review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including support for Amgen’s Latin American distributors

- Creation and maintenance of contract templates and know-how

- Broad legal advice to Amgen’s commercial, medical, regulatory and support functions

- Review of promotional and scientific materials

- Support on litigation, regulatory issues, employment law matters, corporate, audit, healthcare compliance and data privacy, as required



Skills and Requirements:



- Law degree from a recognized university law faculty. Qualification to practice law in Argentina. Other Latin American jurisdictions a plus.

- 4+ years of practice at a law firm, corporate law department, or a combination of both.

- Contract drafting skills and solid knowledge of general commercial law, labor law and dispute resolution.

- Preferred - experience working in, or for, the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or the law department of a multi-national company and experience involving the implementation of compliance programs, policies and training.

- English advanced level required, both spoken and written.



- Strong interpersonal skills, a flexible, collaborative and team-oriented approach to problem-solving.

- Effective planning and organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities

- Ethical and integrity-driven approach and objectivity.
