Compensation & Benefits Global Trainee  



Provides support to the annual process of reviewing the salary scales in each of Tenaris’ locations,

working very close with the regional compensation offices to analyze the market surveys and define the strategic positioning and the salary structure in order to keep the external competitiveness in each country where Tenaris operates. The position has also participation in other global processes (compensation cycle) and is responsible of the interaction with the Information Technology (IT) department.

Main Responsibilities

Identifies HR/Compensation data requirements, develops metrics and reports for integration into reporting tools (develops ad-hoc reports in order to analyze the compensation actions globally keeping the information about Compensation KPIs updated) and assists the regional Compensation offices in understanding and applying compensation data.

Gives support in the salary and benefit costs budget files preparation, interacting with the regions and analyzing the information received by them. Participation in the definition of premises and assumptions.

Develops -together with Regional HRCOs- Benefit manuals/handbooks (coordination, global standardization). Normalizing of existing and new policies according to Policies & Procedures requirements. Revises and suggests changes to the authorization manual as required.

Provides general assistance, expertise and technical support, definitions and training to the regional Compensation offices regarding benefits and compensation policies, SAP HR, Compensation Management System. Responsible of the interaction with the IT area in regards to the maintenance of all IT tools and services related to compensation topics.

Creates brochures, FAQs and guidelines about benefits, salary increases and incentive cycles and Compensation systems. Prepares and presents training material and presentations in order to assure and adequate knowledge sharing among the global Compensation team and Regional Compensation offices.

Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.

Special Skills, Knowledge and Experience

- Seniority/Experience: around 2-3 years preferable in Human Resources / Compensation / Administration & Finance

- Degree: Economical Science

- Language: English – advanced

- IT tools: Excel, SAP, PWBI

- Analytical skills

- Drive for results

- Resilience to stress and pressure

- Priority setting skills and time management

- High adaptability

- Fast learner and ability to integrate fast

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
