In this critical Technical Program Manager role you will join our fast-growing team as a program designer and facilitator for successful and predictable delivery of key product initiatives. Program Managers are team players who support and protect our core values, respect for our people, and keep trust first and foremost throughout the program lifecycle. Product programs at MuleSoft span portfolio management through to product, customer and company readiness,

including field enablement and customer validation. In this role you will help product teams from Architects to Devops manage complex dependencies and aggressive initiative timelines. The position requires working with MuleSoft product management, engineering, architecture, user experience, and expands to cross-functional business partners in product marketing, sales, technical field, and back-office teams. The ideal candidate must enjoy being challenged, learning-by-doing, working as a team and have excellent communication and people skills.You're a great fit for this role if you have experience working across the software development lifecycle from incubation to operation, have lean-agile experience, you are a good communicator and a driver of collaborative change management processes.



Responsibilities



- Act as driver for all internal product lifecycle and business processes



Help roll out internal process workflows and metrics



Provide guidance and coaching to help teams understand and follow best practices



Run the logistics for meetings such as Monthly Reviews, Engineering Reviews



Run key meetings within your specific area, and as well facilitate conversation and drive actions. 



Drive clear decision making (process, tools and facilitation) required to balance risk, effort and timelines



Ensure proper data collection and monitoring tools and dashboards are in place



- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration



Facilitate the development of collaborative cross-team dependency solutions



Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders



Guide timely escalation up the chain when needed



- Support and Enable process improvements (change management)



Ensure appropriate, regular cadence of communication across all stakeholders



Conduct retrospectives and gather feedback and data on program success metrics



Identify processes improvements while managing active projects







- Drive planning with initiative owners



Define scope, timelines, milestones for the Project and execute to that plan 



Ensure visibility of work and its status in our systems of record 



Proactively identify and track risks and mitigations



Position deliverables



In 30 days you will 



- Learn existing programs by shadowing and assisting other program managers with initiatives in flight



- Learn our systems of record (Jira)



- Learn who key stakeholders are 



- Understand Anypoint Platform products (take our Fundamentals course)



- Begin onramp to your assigned program initiative & perform current state assessment



In 60 days we expect you to



- Work with stakeholders to develop & document initiative approach 



- Ensure strategy and comprehensive roll out and change management plan



- Ensure clear success goals, metrics and acceptance criteria are set & agreed upon



- Get cross-functional feedback and alignment on program plan & metrics



Within 90 days you will be able to



- Ensure initiative entry criteria is complete and conduct kickoffs



- Drive regular cadence of initiative reviews and updates



- Prepare initiative status reports



What you’ll need to be successful:



- 3+years experience managing technical initiatives & projects from initiation to completion for a SaaS/PaaS based organization



- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to facilitate issue resolutions. 



- Ability to work and effectively, prioritize and organize your work and the work of others in a highly dynamic environment 



- Ability to manage expectations within a cross-functional environment



- Experience working with software incubation projects & lifecycle management



- Experience practicing principles of Lean and Agile and how to blend with traditional project management best practices



- Influence and leverage project stakeholders at a tactical level



- Written and oral communication skills 



- Excellent written and oral english



- Experience with using JIRA



- Familiarity with MuleSoft and Salesforce a strong plus



- Preferred certifications in one or more: Agile Scrum Master and Kanban
