The Role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to own the month-end close and core financial reporting at a high-growth US company, working remotely from Argentina.

You will own a defined set of close tasks, from journal entries and reconciliations to supporting schedules, with a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager reviewing your work. The scope grows as quickly as your accuracy does.

What You'll Own

- The close. Prepare and own month-end close tasks, including accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Financial statements. Prepare the P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow support under US GAAP,



and explain material movements.
- Journal entries. Record recurring and non-recurring entries with support a reviewer can follow.
- Process improvement. Improve close checklists, SOPs, and recurring workflows, including where AI and automation can help.
- Close tasks. Complete your close checklist on schedule, and document each task so a reviewer can follow it without asking.

What We're Looking For

- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with month-end close tasks, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Solid accrual accounting fundamentals and experience preparing financial statement support
- US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero
- Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

Preferred

- Big 4 or public accounting experience, or experience serving US clients
- Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
