The Role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to own accounts payable and vendor payments at a high-growth US company, working remotely from Argentina.

This is the senior individual contributor seat in the area: you will own the hardest reconciliations and judgment calls, review the work of others, and be the first escalation point for the team and for auditors.

What You'll Own

- Invoice processing. Process vendor invoices and expense reports accurately and on time.
- Payment runs. Prepare weekly payment runs, including ACH and international wires.
- Vendor management. Onboard vendors and keep W-9s and 1099s complete.
- AP reconciliation. Reconcile the AP subledger and accrue unbilled expenses.




- AP automation. Lead automation of invoice capture and approvals.
- Review and coaching. Review entries and reconciliations prepared by others, and coach junior accountants on how to get them right the first time.

What We're Looking For

- 6+ years of accounting experience
- Experience reviewing other accountants' work and resolving complex reconciling items
- Experience with full-cycle accounts payable
- US GAAP experience, or strong Argentine GAAP (FACPCE) or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
- Experience with Bill.com, Ramp, Tipalti, or Coupa, plus Net Suite or Quick Books Online
- Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

Preferred

- Experience with 1099 reporting
- Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
