We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Purview Solutions Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of enterprise data security, governance, and compliance solutions. In this role, you will work closely with clients, security teams, compliance stakeholders, and technical teams to understand data protection requirements and translate them into scalable Microsoft Purview solutions.

You will be responsible for defining the solution architecture, designing policies, configuring Microsoft Purview capabilities, and guiding implementations from initial discovery through testing and deployment. This is a client-facing and hands-on role that requires strong ownership, technical depth, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders such as CISOs, Compliance, Legal, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

- Lead Microsoft Purview implementations from initial discovery and requirements gathering through design, configuration, testing, and production deployment.
- Assess clients’ data security, governance, privacy, and compliance requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection solutions, including sensitivity labels, encryption, permissions, and automatic labeling.
- Design and configure Data Loss Prevention policies across Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and endpoint devices.
- Define data classification strategies using sensitive information types, trainable classifiers, and automated detection capabilities.
- Design and implement data retention and lifecycle policies based on legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Configure and support Microsoft Purview capabilities such as eDiscovery, Audit, Insider Risk Management, and DSPM for AI.
- Identify oversharing and data exposure risks and recommend controls before enabling Microsoft 365 Copilot or other AI solutions.
- Test policies in simulation or audit mode, analyze false positives,



and deploy controls gradually to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Facilitate client workshops and present solution proposals, architecture decisions, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with CISOs, Compliance, Legal, HR, IT, and security teams to validate policies and governance models.
- Create technical documentation, implementation plans, solution designs, and client-facing presentations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to implementation teams while maintaining clear ownership of architectural decisions.

- Strong documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications for the Role

- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data governance, information protection, compliance, or Microsoft security technologies.




- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Microsoft Purview solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience leading at least one end-to-end Microsoft Purview implementation, from discovery and architecture through configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Purview Information Protection, including sensitivity labels, encryption, permissions, and automatic labeling.
- Hands-on experience designing and configuring Data Loss Prevention policies across Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and endpoints.
- Experience defining data classification strategies using sensitive information types, automatic labeling, and trainable classifiers.
- Experience implementing data retention, records management, or data lifecycle policies.
- Practical experience with at least one additional Microsoft Purview capability, such as eDiscovery, Audit, Insider Risk Management, or DSPM for AI.
- Experience testing policies in audit or simulation mode, managing false positives, and deploying controls in phases.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and endpoint environments.
- Experience conducting client workshops, supporting presales activities, or presenting Microsoft Purview proposals to CISOs, Compliance, Legal, or security stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly distinguish between Microsoft Purview DLP and Power Platform DLP and apply each technology appropriately.
- Experience assessing data exposure and oversharing risks related to Microsoft 365 Copilot is highly desirable.
- Microsoft certifications such as SC-401 or SC-400 and/or SC-100 are highly desirable.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-500 or AZ-305 are considered a plus but do not replace hands-on Microsoft Purview experience.
- Strong ownership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to explain personal contributions within larger implementation teams
