What You'll Own

- Revenue Recognition: Apply ASC 606 to subscription, usage-based, and multi-element contracts, and maintain revenue schedules and waterfalls.
- Deferred Revenue & Billing: Reconcile billing system data to the general ledger, manage deferred and unbilled revenue, and make sure invoices match contract terms.
- Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepaids (including software and annual contracts), and do balance sheet reconciliations for a timely, accurate close.
- Payments & AR: Reconcile Stripe and other payment processor payouts, manage AR and collections follow-up, and track refunds, credits, and failed payments.
- Expense & Cost Accounting: Track hosting and cloud costs (AWS, GCP), allocate expenses across departments, and support capitalized software development and commission (ASC 340-40) schedules where applicable.
- Reporting & SaaS Metrics: Prepare financial statements and support reporting on MRR, ARR, churn,



gross margin, and burn for US founders, finance leads, and investors.

What We're Looking For

- SaaS or tech accounting experience: 4+ years of accounting for software, subscription, or tech startup businesses.
- Revenue recognition knowledge: Hands-on experience with ASC 606 or IFRS 15, deferred revenue, and contract-based billing.
- Strong accounting fundamentals: A solid grasp of accrual accounting, reconciliations, and how transactions flow into the financial statements.
- Ownership and problem-solving: Able to manage the close independently and resolve discrepancies without close supervision.
- Strong English communication: Comfortable working directly with US founders, finance leads, and auditors.

Good to Have

- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
- Familiarity with billing and subscription tools like Stripe Billing, Chargebee, Maxio (SaaSOptics/Chargify), or Recurly.
- Experience with spend management tools such as Ramp, Brex, or Bill.com.
- Exposure to audit support, VC-backed startups, or investor reporting.
- A degree in Contador Público or a related field. Registration with the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas is a plus.
