BizForce Healthcare is looking for a dedicated and patient-focused Health Guide (Medical Assistant) to join a growing U.S.-based virtual healthcare practice specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, and physical therapy.

In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional support throughout their healthcare journey. You will manage patient inquiries, conduct virtual intakes, coordinate appointments, assist with virtual consultations, and ensure seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.

The idóneo candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced telehealth environment. This is a fully remote, non-clinical support role that involves interacting with patients through phone calls, video consultations, and electronic messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Communication &

- Support

- Handle inbound patient calls using RingCentral, addressing appointment inquiries, healthcare service questions, and general concerns.

- Provide professional and compassionate assistance to patients throughout their virtual healthcare experience.

- Direct clinical questions and concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.

- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and text messages to follow up on patient needs and appointments.

Virtual Patient Intake &

- Documentation

- Conduct virtual patient intake sessions, gathering medical histories, symptoms, insurance information, and demographic details.

- Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

- Verify patient records and ensure all required intake forms and documentation are completed before consultations.

- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Appointment Scheduling &

- Coordination

- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate virtual consultations with orthopedic physicians and physical therapists.





- Assist patients with scheduling imaging appointments and follow-up care.

- Monitor appointment calendars, manage cancellations, and help fill available appointment slots.

- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient scheduling and continuity of care.

Virtual Waiting Room Management

- Monitor virtual waiting rooms and assist patients joining their scheduled consultations.

- Troubleshoot basic audio, video, and connectivity issues to ensure smooth virtual appointments.

- Notify healthcare providers when patients are ready for their consultations.

- Respond promptly to patient concerns and minimize delays during virtual visits.

Patient Outreach &

- Administrative Support

- Conduct proactive patient outreach to confirm appointments, complete intake requirements, and coordinate follow-up visits.

- Track patient interactions, pending tasks, and appointment updates using internal systems.

- Prepare and submit accurate end-of-day reports.

- Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to maintain efficient patient workflows.

Spanish Interpretation (For Bilingual Positions)

- Provide real-time Spanish-to-English and English-to-Spanish interpretation during virtual medical consultations.

- Assist Spanish-speaking patients with appointment scheduling, intake procedures, and healthcare inquiries.

- Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive communication between patients and providers.

Qualifications

- At least 3 years of experience in a patient-facing healthcare role, such as Medical Assistant, Patient Coordinator, Medical Receptionist,



Medical Scheduler, or Healthcare Customer Service Representative.

- Excellent verbal and written English and Spanish communication skills.

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare administrative workflows.

- Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems and business communication platforms.

- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically.

- Experience handling high-volume inbound and outbound patient calls.

- Proficiency in appointment scheduling, patient intake, and medical documentation.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

- Comfortable conducting patient interactions through video conferencing platforms.

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.

- Willingness to work a fixed U.S. business-hours schedule, including weekends if required.

- Ability to meet attendance, productivity, and quality expectations.

- Must be able to successfully complete the required background screening.
