So are we!The Work You'll Do:As a Software Engineer II, you are an experienced software professional who can operate effectively as an individual contributor in most circumstances with limited guidance and supervision. You may also serve as a mentor and coach to more junior employees.

- More specifically, you will:_- Facilitate basic Sovos SDLC meetings- Coach and mentor other team members- Interact with internal stakeholders and customers around requirements, issues, and other common matters- Lead junior developers on shared stories and tasks- Refine and improve development tools (IDE, Jenkins, Test Harnesses, etc.)- Share technical knowledge with other team members- Consistently develop high quality code consistent with Sovos conventions and accepted coding best practices, including design patterns- Draft designs and documentation for major functionality- Triage and resolve most customer escalations independently- Consistently identify impediments and play an active role in their resolution- Help other team members identify, elaborate,



and solve problems- Leverage AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and code quality- Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders- Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction- Demonstrate initiative, drive, and determination to achieve results, success, and growth- Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement, and commitment to action- Develop trust and model open, candid, respectful communication and collaborative teamwork- Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learningWhat We Need From You- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related software engineering experience- Minimum 2 years of work experience with Java, Spring Boot and React- AI-first mindset with enthusiasm for leveraging automation and emerging technologies in software development- Ability to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers- Ability to comprehend and communicate complex concepts- Ability to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problemsWhat Does Sovos Offer You?The tools to enhance your life - because we want you to enjoy your life outside of work and inside!
