About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a strong AI/ML focus to join a team supporting modern data and AI initiatives for an innovative client. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with Python, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, and Microsoft Fabric, combined with a solid understanding of modern data engineering and AI/ML workflows. This is a client‑facing role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data engineering and emerging AI technologies in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data engineering solutions.
- Develop and manage data workflows using Python and Azure Data Factory.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric to build and support modern data solutions.
- Leverage Azure Machine Learning and related technologies to support AI/ML initiatives.
- Prepare, transform, integrate, and optimize data for analytics, machine learning, and AI use cases.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts, architecture decisions, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver data and AI solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve data pipelines, processes, and AI/ML workflows.

Core Requirements

- Strong professional experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Python.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory.




- Experience with Azure Machine Learning or similar Azure AI/ML services.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, data transformation, and modern data architectures.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and workflows.
- Experience working directly with clients or other external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

- Experience productionizing machine learning models or AI solutions.
- Experience with additional Azure data and AI services.
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, or AI-powered applications.
- Experience in consulting or other client‑facing technical environments.

- US Timezone Overlap: 6-7 hours with PST.
- Strong client‑facing presence and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
