Role Overview
The Technical Lead is /slantis’ project-level technical authority.
The role ensures that complex architectural decisions are coordinated, technically sound, constructable, and appropriately reviewed. A Technical Lead works beyond their own production: they help teams frame technical problems, guide strategy, identify risk, review solutions, and know when deeper expertise is needed.
A strong PA resolves complex technical problems. A Technical Lead helps other teams navigate and resolve them.
Technical Leads are expected to have broad architectural technical capability and deeper expertise in at least one relevant technical area.
Responsibilities
- Guide multidisciplinary coordination, identify critical issues, and drive them toward resolution.
- This can be done using digital tools:
- Revit
- Navisworks
- Revitzo Collaborative Clash Automation or 2D
- Navigate code questions, establish a research approach, interpret requirements, and know when additional expertise is needed.
Technical Consistency
- Assess whether a project is technically complete, coordinated, and consistent, and provide clear actionable feedback.
- Items considered for this review:
- View hierarchy & consistency: plans, sections, elevations,
and details represent the same design intent without contradiction across the set.
- Dimensioning criteria by system: dimension strings follow the logic of how each material and construction technology is actually built and measured in the field.
- Feature completeness across views: every element shown in plan is also reflected — and reflected consistently — in wall sections and details.
- Schedule-to-drawing consistency: door, window, and finish schedules match what's drawn and tagged on the plans.
- Keynote & legend consistency: every keynote or material tag used in the drawings exists in the legend, and every legend entry appears somewhere in the set.
- Fire-rating & life-safety tag consistency: rated wall/assembly tags in plan match the corresponding sections and details.
- Cross-discipline background consistency: architectural plans reflect the current structural grid and MEP backgrounds, not an outdated coordination set.
- Assess assemblies, details, interfaces, and sequencing for technical viability and buildability.
- Items considered for this review:
- Exterior envelope (weather protection, construction phasing and material compatibility)
- Assembly details
- Window schedule
