ATL Diesel
Rincón de los Sauces
ATL Diesel sells heavy-duty diesel engine parts to fleets, dealers and shops across the US.
We are hiring a Technical Product Owner to run delivery of our ecommerce products: you take a business need, turn it into requirements a developer can build, and get it live on time.
Contract Type
Contractor, remote
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, standard US hours
About the Role
Ecommerce leadership sets the strategy.
You own how it gets built and shipped.
Your first assignment is a high-priority launch that you carry from requirements to rollout.
Once it is live, you take on the wider ecommerce roadmap.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the backlog: collect requests, set priorities, and keep a ready queue of work for development
Write requirements that developers can build and testers can verify: user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases
Plan and track delivery: milestones, dependencies, risks, and a weekly status leadership can read in a minute
Run the team's delivery rhythm (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives) in whatever framework fits
Be the single point of contact for developers and external build partners; clear blockers the same day
Spec and coordinate integrations between our ecommerce platform, ERP, CRM, accounting and search systems
Work with our UX/UI Designer on screens and usability testing
Lead QA and user acceptance testing; nothing launches until it passes
Chase actions across internal teams so decisions become progress
Plan rollouts with Sales leadership and turn customer feedback into the next release
After launch: releases, conversion analysis, A/B tests, and app and vendor evaluations
What You Need to Succeed
Must-haves
4+ years as a product owner, product manager or business analyst, including 2+ years in ecommerce
You have shipped releases on a major ecommerce platform, ideally Shopify, and can explain what you cut to hold the date
You read API documentation and have written the spec for at least one integration (ERP, CRM, payments or similar)
You have run delivery with developers who did not report to you: contractors, agencies or another team
You write acceptance criteria that QA can test without asking you
You use GA4 or platform reports to decide what goes into the backlog
Hands-on use of AI tools in your daily work: research, drafting specs, testing
Fluent written and spoken English; you present to leadership and run meetings in English
Nice-to-haves
Launched a customer portal or self-service experience for business customers
Headless or custom builds on a major ecommerce platform
An ERP, CRM or accounting integration you can describe end to end
Distribution, industrial or automotive parts ecommerce, with large catalogs and cross-references
A/B testing and conversion optimization
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 6 months:
You know our stack, integrations and customers well enough to write specs without hand-holding
Your first assignment is live, on time, with a backlog ready for the next release
Developers get their work from the backlog, not from ad hoc requests
Leadership gets a weekly status and a current decision log without asking
Tools and Stack
ERP: Inventory and ERP system
CRM and tickets: CRM with workflow automation
Search: Third-party search platform
Analytics: GA4 and platform reports
Fully remote role (LATAM-based candidates only)
Paid Time Off included as part of base pay
Work directly with leadership and have real ownership
A high-visibility first project launching a new customer channel
Pragmatic, low-bureaucracy environment
This Role Is Not
A strategy-only role: you run delivery day to day
A developer role: you write specs, not code
A process-heavy role: we use what helps the team ship
Ready to own delivery from first requirement to launch?
