Job Summary
Manage the obtaining, maintenance and monitoring of environmental and sectoral permits that enable the execution of the project in Argentina, ensuring that the engineering design, constructive planning and field activities comply with the applicable national and provincial regulations, with the commitments assumed before the authority and with the environmental standards of the client.
The position acts as a bridge between engineering and the regulatory authority: it translates the legal requirements into verifiable design criteria, anticipates the environmental restrictions that condition the layout and the construction sequence, and maintains a critical permit route aligned with the project schedule.
Its performance is measured by the absence of regulatory detentions and by the technical quality of the information presented to the competent bodies.
Permission management
Preparing and keeping updated the project permits matrix, identifying competent body, submission requirements, legal deadlines and actual processing deadlines.
Prepare, review and submit the Environmental Impact Report and its biennial updates, along with the supporting technical documentation required by the provincial mining authority.
Managing the associated sectoral permits: water use and concession, effluent dumping, emissions into the atmosphere, hazardous waste management, soil movement, intervention of native vegetation and transport of hazardous substances.
Maintaining technical dialogue with provincial and national enforcement authorities, responding to observations, requests for additional information and audits.
Timely alert the permits that constitute a critical route and propose sequencing alternatives when a regulatory deadline compromises the schedule.
Environmental studies and assessment
Defining the scope of the environmental baselines - air quality, noise, surface and groundwater, soils, flora, fauna, glaciers and periglacial environment, archaeology and socio-economic environment - and technically supervise the consulting firms that execute them.
Reviewing consultant deliverables verifying methodological sufficiency, representativeness of sampling and traceability of data before its incorporation into the file.
Evaluating environmental impacts of the project, propose mitigation and compensation measures, and verify that they are reflected in the design criteria and technical specifications.
Estimating hours, costs and deadlines of environmental studies for their incorporation into the project budget and program.
Compliance, monitoring and interface with the project
Keeping track of environmental commitments derived from the Environmental Impact Statement and the permits granted, and periodically verify their compliance on the ground.
Providing the engineering disciplines with the environmental constraints applicable to the design - layout restrictions, exclusion areas, discharge limits and water management criteria - and verify their incorporation.
Preparing progress reports on the status of permits for the client and for the project management, with status, regulatory risks and mitigation actions.
Supporting the processes of citizen participation and relations with communities and local authorities, in coordination with the social area of the project and the client.
Issuing the environmental deliverables under the project's documentary control system, respecting the review scheme and the preparation, review and approval signatures.
Regulatory framework of reference
Dominating the Argentine environmental regime and its federal articulation: the Nation sets the minimum protection budgets and the provinces, as holders of the original domain of natural resources, are the enforcement authority that grants the permits.
The following list is the minimum core required: Law ******, Law ******; Law ******; Law ******, Law ******, Law ******, Law ******, Law ******, Law ******, ILO Convention 169 (Law ******).
Education and Experience Requirements
Level 1: Requires a university degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Natural Resources, Geological Sciences or Biological Sciences, with professional registration in the corresponding jurisdiction, between 5 and 8 years of professional practice in environmental management and permits, with at least 3 years in mining, energy or infrastructure projects in Argentina.
A graduate degree, major or diploma in environmental management, environmental impact assessment or environmental law is desirable.
Level 2: Requires a university degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Natural Resources, Geological Sciences or Biological Sciences, with professional registration in the corresponding jurisdiction, between 8 and 10 years of professional practice in environmental management and permits, with at least 5 years in mining, energy or infrastructure projects in Argentina.
A graduate degree, major or diploma in environmental management, environmental impact assessment or environmental law is desirable.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Verifiable participation in at least one complete cycle of environmental processing: preparation of the study, submission to the authority, response to observations and obtaining the approving resolution.
Experience in direct interaction with provincial and national public agencies, and in technical supervision of environmental consultancies.
Previous experience in EPC or EPCM environments is desirable, with exposure to document control, change control and management of interfaces between disciplines.
Mastery of the Argentine environmental regime described in the previous section and ability to track its provincial regulations.
Environmental impact assessment methodologies, design of monitoring plans and environmental management programs; notions of modeling of air quality, noise and dispersion of pollutants.
Management of geographic information systems, advanced spreadsheets and project scheduling tools.
Native Spanish and intermediate or higher technical English, sufficient to read international standards and participate in meetings with multinational teams.
The Documentary Organization: Maintains complete, versioned and auditable files at all times.
Integrity: Does not sign or endorse information that it cannot endorse, even under deadline pressure.
The technical rigor: Supports each statement of the file in verifiable data and detects methodological weaknesses in third-party studies.
Regulatory anticipation: Identifies the permit that will become a critical route before it becomes one and activates management well in advance.
The institutional communication: Maintains a professional and traceable relationship with the authority; writes with legal and technical precision.
The transversal work: Translates environmental requirements into the language of engineering and negotiates solutions with the disciplines without compromising compliance.
Experience in metallic and/or non-metallic mining.
Experience in EPC/EPCM projects and knowledge of the AACE standard.
Knowledge of local design regulations.

Ingeniero Civil Senior (Field Manager) - San Juan/Argentina
Our client is a digital marketing agency that helps multi-location businesses with a physical presence turn strong in-person operations into online revenue.
Its clients include med spas and aesthetics practices, clinics, OB/GYN practices, senior living communities, and dispensaries across the US and Canada.
They usually have good operations and good reviews, and little online presence.
The agency is AI-native.
It runs on Claude and on its own internal operating system and client portal.
Anything digital is in scope, from search, SEO, and visibility in AI answers to websites, booking paths, reviews, social, paid media, branding, and fractional CMO support.
Your Role
This is a hands-on account manager role.
You own a set of client accounts end to end, from the first proposal through onboarding and the months after.
You write the brand messaging and copy yourself, drafting in Claude and editing until it sounds like the client, and you run SEO, social, and paid media directly, including conversion tracking and ad account structure.
Part of the job is building.
You'll convert repeated tasks into Claude tools and workflows (briefs, content calendars, trackers) and improve how the team works.
Clients in med spas and senior living are particular about tone and trust, so every AI draft gets edited and checked before a client sees it.
This role suits someone who wants the whole account rather than a single channel, and who's comfortable building parts of the process as they go.
If you'd prefer to hand execution to a team once the plan is written, it probably isn't the right fit.
You'll
Onboard new accounts and get the site, tracking, and channels live in about two weeks
Confirm conversion tracking counts real bookings before budget moves
Write brand messaging, location pages, and client updates, drafted in Claude and edited by you
Run SEO, social, and paid media hands-on, including ad account structure
Structure multi-location accounts so each location's numbers read clearly, then compare cost per booked appointment and shift budget
Convert repeated tasks into Claude workflows the team uses every week
Join client calls, including some in other time zones
You Bring
5+ years of current, hands-on digital marketing for clients, at an agency or your own practice
Technical grounding in conversion tracking, tags, ad account structure, or launching sites
Daily use of Claude and the tools that connect to it, plus something you've built with them
Near-native English for client calls and written updates
Experience running several client accounts at once, often with multiple locations
Brand and copy judgment you can explain and defend
Comfort working with minimal oversight
Bonus Points
A strong portfolio of client work
Published work or a personal brand, such as a course or newsletter
Clients in aesthetics, healthcare, senior care, or regulated retail
A technical degree in computer science, BI, or data analytics
What's Offered
Fully remote, full-time contractor role from LATAM
Working hours on US Central time, with some flexibility for client calls in other time zones
Paid in USD as a contractor.
Share the range that fits your level and we'll go from there
Unlimited PTO, and you choose which holidays you observe
Scope and responsibility that grow as the agency grows
Interview Process
First Call: A 30-minute conversation with atomic HR
First Team Interview: Your first interview with the team
Second Team Interview: A second interview with the team
Work Test: A short practical task
Final Interview: The last conversation before a decision
Offer: An offer if it's a match on both sides
