Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependableLinehaul Driverto transport goods efficiently and safely between designated hubs and distribution centres. The adecuado candidate will possess aCode 14 license, a validPDP, a strong understanding ofroad safety regulations, andlong-haul driving experience.

This role supports bothPAXI deliveriesandConsumer goods movement.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate heavy-duty vehicles to transport freight between hubs and key distribution points.

- Ensuretimely pickups and deliverieswhile adhering to all road laws and company protocols.

- Conductpre-trip and post-trip inspectionsto ensure mechanical readiness and roadworthiness.

- Secure cargoto prevent shifting, loss, or damage during transit.

- Maintainaccurate logsof mileage, hours.

- Follow alltraffic laws, safety regulations, and route schedules.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, andreport delays, issues, or incidentspromptly.

- Perform basicvehicle maintenance and fault troubleshootingwhere necessary.

- Upholdcustomer satisfactionby following company freight handling procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1.Role Context

Drivers will operate under thePLL Linehaul structure,



servicing bothPAXIandConsumer products. Routes are long-distance and involve high-volume cargo movement.

2.Non-Negotiable Requirements

Truck Tractor Experience

- Minimum3 years’ experiencedriving6x4 Truck Tractors(e.g.,Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, or MAN)

Trailer Experience

- Minimum3 years’ experiencewith either:

- 3-axle, 14.5m dry or refrigerated (perishable) trailers, OR

- 6m x 12m tautliner trailers

Licensing & Compliance

- ValidCode 14 Driver’s License

- ValidPDP

- Clear criminal and driving record

Citizenship

- South African citizenwith a validSA ID card

3.References

- A minimum of3 contactable references, which will befully vetted

Preferred Additional Qualifications

- Mechanical knowledge forbasic truck fault diagnosis

- Prior experiencehandling trailers and securing loads

- Background infreight logistics or transportation operations

Work Environment & Schedule

- Long-distance routes, includingovernight stays

- Shift schedules may includeweekends, holidays, and night driving

- Exposure tovaried weather and road conditions
