About the Role

Quectel is looking for a senior Field Application Engineer based in Buenos Aires to support customers in Argentina across the full Quectel wireless portfolio. As the technical link between customers and Quectel's R&D; and product teams, you will guide customers from module selection and design-in through validation and mass production, deliver on-site training, and turn customer feedback into practical Quectel solutions for their applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support for Quectel's entire product portfolio, including 5G, LTE/LTE-A, UMTS/HSPA, GSM/GPRS, LPWA and GNSS wireless technologies.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and customer training on Quectel wireless modules and development tools.
- Respond quickly to customer technical enquiries, and be prepared to travel for on-site support.
- Give product presentations and conduct product and tool training for customers on-site.
- Provide tangible feedback and feasible Quectel solutions to customers, according to their applications.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer, applications engineer, or in embedded hardware/wireless product development.




- Deep knowledge of cellular technologies (5G, LTE, LTE-M/NB-IoT, 2G/3G) and GNSS.
- Proven experience integrating wireless modules into customer designs, including AT commands, hardware interfaces, and RF/antenna considerations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and network issues, using lab tools and logs.
- Excellent presentation and customer-facing communication skills, including leading on-site training.
- Fluent Spanish and professional working English.
- Availability to travel for on-site customer support and training.

Nice to Have

- Prior experience with Quectel modules or comparable cellular/GNSS module vendors.
- Experience with schematic and PCB layout review for RF designs.
- Familiarity with ENACOM certification and carrier approval processes in Argentina.
- Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or C/C++ firmware development.
- Experience mentoring other engineers or supporting key accounts.
- Working Portuguese.
