Field Specialist
- Mechanical Gas / Steam Turbine / Compressors Job Overview
- Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation.
- Lead foundation and soft foot check and adjustments.
- Lead assembly/installation and alignment of the equipment.
- Lead independently inspection of the equipment.
- Provide business ownership for work in assigned areas.
- Establish and maintain business relationships (customer and BH).
- Provide leadership to balance customer service satisfaction and BH objectives.
- Drive Safety, On-time Delivery, Productivity, Quality, and Cost.
- Perform field engineering service work as required to properly serve the customer.
- Support emergent and emergency customer needs.
- Create an engaging work environment where other BH and the customer's employees are motivated to optimally perform.
- Own lessons learned process for BH / customer efforts at assigned sites, ensuring all BH and customer learning are applied.
- Support Root Cause Analysis efforts within customer and BH organizations relating to customer failures, forced outages and incidents of interest. Skills & Experience
- Engineering degree or technical degree.
- Active CREA or CFT.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Turbomachinery (TMS) equipment (gas, steam or heavy duty turbines) OR equivalent in Compressors – is a must.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Baker Hughes equipment, attested by company that has carried out scope in the equipment covered the site operation, commissioning, and start-up – is a must.
- Capability in working under pressure, clear thinking, decisiveness. Team player skills.
- Solid knowledge of compressors equipment.




- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with good interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Leadership with excellent listening, project management, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Mechanical Field Engineer/Technician with Project Management experience, or a Specialist from one of many fields.
- Effective working with the Customer at all levels of their organization.
- Technical direction of skilled craft labor, track costs, update schedules and communicate effectively at all levels as a site manager.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, special BH applications, Primavera or Microsoft Project.
- Field Engineering experience.
- Fluent in written and spoken English or at least intermediary.
- Knowledge of MKVIe or RX3i or Woodward Control panels.
- Knowledge of Nuovo Pignone or Thermodyn CECO.
- Knowledge of LM2500 turbines. Work Location & Arrangement
