About the roleAs a Software Engineer (C++ / Python) – Code Review, you will ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient code across large-scale systems, including AI-generated code.
You will be a valued member of the engineering team with Google and work collaboratively with developers, reviewers, and cross-functional stakeholders to assess and improve code quality, standards, and performanceIn this role, you will:Proficiency in C++ (strongly preferred)Good to have experience in one of the following: Java / Python / GoLang / TypeScriptReview and evaluate code changes (CLs), including AI-generated code, to ensure correctness, performance, readability, and alignment with best practicesProvide clear, actionable feedback to improve code quality and maintainabilityAnalyze AI-generated code changes to identify risks, inconsistencies,



or inefficienciesCollaborate with engineering teams to uphold coding standards and testing practicesSupport continuous improvement of code review processes and toolingWork modelThis is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a Cognizant office.ShiftMonday to Friday9:00 to 18:00 or 10:00 to 19:00 (local time)What you need to have to be considered:Proficiency in C++ and Python (strongly preferred)Strong code review experience with the ability to assess code for quality, scalability, and adherence to standardsExperience reviewing AI-generated code and identifying potential issuesSolid understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and fuzz testing conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEnglish level: Upper Intermediate or aboveExcellent written communication skills with the ability to provide concise, constructive feedbackThese will help you stand out:Experience with development tools such as Critique, Cider, Piper, or BuganizerFamiliarity with AI/ML concepts, especially in the context of code generation and evaluationExperience working in large-scale or distributed systems environmentsAbility to quickly learn new tools and adapt to evolving engineering processes
