: Android Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Android Engineer to join our team and develop mobile applications used by millions of cardholders worldwide. The adecuado candidate should have strong technical expertise, creativity, and a passion for building high-quality mobile applications with excellent user experiences.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside designers, product owners, QA engineers, and other developers to build new features, enhance existing functionality, and solve complex technical challenges. The role requires someone who can work independently, contribute innovative ideas, and adapt quickly to changing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
- Build and enhance mobile application features with a strong focus on performance and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while improving existing codebases.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and technical issues.
- Work with asynchronous programming patterns to develop responsive applications.
- Analyze and optimize application performance, stability, and reliability.
- Work with legacy code and modernize existing application components.
- Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Work with build automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.




- Integrate Android applications with backend services and APIs.
- Contribute to technical discussions and design solutions for complex, open-ended problems.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Android application development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Experience with Android development frameworks, libraries, and modern development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Gradle and build automation tools.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and multithreading.
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience maintaining and working with legacy codebases.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and APIs.
- Familiarity with open-source technologies and globally distributed development teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale, customer-facing mobile applications.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience designing solutions for complex and ambiguous requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
