About the Role
We're looking for a Senior DevOps / Forward Deployed Engineer who combines strong engineering fundamentals with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset. This role operates at the intersection of infrastructure, software engineering, and customer delivery. You'll build and optimize cloud platforms, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and help enterprise customers improve how software is built, secured, deployed, and modernized. We value engineers who can go beyond recommendations, understand complex environments, implement solutions, and take ownership of technical outcomes. The idóneo candidate brings strong CI/CD and automation experience, with deeper expertise in Cloud Infrastructure / Platform Engineering or Software Engineering / JVM Modernization. ## What You'll Be Doing ### CI/CD, Automation & Engineering Operations
- Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Diagnose complex issues involving build systems, dependencies, infrastructure, and distributed applications.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for enterprise environments.
- Automate operational and engineering workflows using Python, Bash, and modern tooling.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure, dependencies, and application delivery pipelines.
- Improve developer productivity, deployment reliability,



and engineering efficiency. ### Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Build monitoring, logging, and observability solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and OpenSearch/ELK.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and improve system reliability, scalability, and security.
- Automate infrastructure configuration using Ansible or similar technologies.
- Contribute to cloud cost optimization and platform engineering initiatives. ### Software Modernization & Forward Deployed Engineering
- Work directly with enterprise engineering teams to understand complex technical environments and deliver practical solutions.
- Support large-scale software modernization initiatives, including framework upgrades, dependency remediation, and platform migrations.
- Troubleshoot Java/JVM build systems, including Maven, Gradle, and artifact repositories.
- Deploy, configure, and integrate engineering platforms within customer environments.
- Develop or adapt automated code transformation workflows, including OpenRewrite recipes.
- Integrate AI-assisted development tools and coding agents into software delivery and modernization processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Security, QA, and Customer Success teams to drive successful technical outcomes. ## What You Bring ### Core Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.
- Familiarity with artifact management and dependency repositories such as Artifactory or Nexus.
- Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting skills using Python and Bash.
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise systems and resolving production-level technical issues.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and secure software delivery.
- Strong analytical thinking, autonomy, and end-to-end ownership.
- Advanced English communication skills, including the ability to collaborate directly with technical stakeholders and enterprise customers.




- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience. ### Technical Specializations We value strong hands-on expertise in at least one of the following areas, combined with the ability to work across the broader engineering environment. Track A — Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Strong production experience with AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and Docker.
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs, DNS, load balancers, routing, and security groups.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible. Track B — Software Engineering & JVM Modernization
- Strong Java and JVM engineering fundamentals.
- Advanced experience with Maven, Gradle, dependency resolution, and complex compilation troubleshooting.
- Experience working with enterprise Java applications, build pipelines, and framework upgrades.
- Understanding of software modernization, technical debt remediation, and application security.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Ability to investigate and resolve complex application, build, and integration issues. ## Nice to Have

- Experience with SonarQube, Checkmarx, or similar application security tools.
- Participation in large-scale Java modernization projects (Java 8 to 17/21, Spring Boot upgrades).
