We are Pepoltek, an IT company based in Dhaka building a portfolio of SaaS products used across education, HR, and enterprise operations, including BIDYATek, a school management platform for institutions across Bangladesh, our Intelligent HR Solution, a cloud-based HRMS used by growing companies, and an Enterprise ERP suite for supply chain and financial operations.
We are leading the build-out of a Language Services and Interpretation function to deliver remote medical interpretation support for healthcare providers and patients, spanning over-the-phone and video interpretation. We are hiring Spanish Medical Interpreters to join this function.

The Role
As a Spanish consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients who speak Spanish . You will interpret over the phone (OPI) and via video (VRI), working remotely on an hourly shift program in the EST time zone.

What You'll Do

- Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other information between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff
- Provide cultural mediation , helping patients understand the healthcare system and navigate it effectively, and helping providers understand cultural differences that may affect patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the interpretation profession
- Document interpretation services provided , including date, time, duration, and type of interpretation
- Stay current on medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure accurate interpretation over time

What You'll Bring

- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Experience in medical interpretation or translation




- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system
- Good communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well under pressure

Technical Requirements

- 15 Mbps download and upload internet speed , USB headset compulsory
- A capable PC , 5th generation or higher, minimum 8GB RAM, LAN (Ethernet) connection
- HD webcam

Growth
You will build a strong foundation in professional medical interpretation across both OPI and VRI formats, with ongoing QA feedback and attendance-based incentives, and room to grow into higher-volume or specialized interpretation work as you build your track record.

Compensation and Terms

- USD 6 per hour , hourly shift program, EST time zone
- This is an independent contractor position , paid monthly via Payoneer only
- Paid training : 80 hours over 10 business days, paid at half the agreed rate, paid regardless of onboarding date provided you pass the assessment and start working
- Attendance and QA bonuses as part of the incentive structure
- Final assessment conducted through LanguageStat; on passing, you'll receive portal credentials from the client, with platform training and guidance provided by the IT team
- No leave during the first month , except emergencies with prior supervisor approval
