Google Ads Media Buyer / Growth Strategist (Remote)
Cordoba Sweat Pants Agency
Hoy
Everyone can run a search campaign.
Almost nobody can tell you whether it worked.
That is the whole job.
Google will happily show you a 6x ROAS built almost entirely out of people who already knew your client's name.
It will auto appl oversee accounting work across a portfolio of growing companies and work directly with international clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals .
You'll be responsible for making sure the accounting is accurate, the work gets done well and client deliverables stay on track.
But we also expect you to look beyond the numbers: understand what's happening in the business, identify issues before they become problems and bring ideas to the table.
This is a hands‐on management role.
You'll still be close to the accounting, while also reviewing work, guiding team members, managing priorities and helping clients navigate more complex accounting and finance questions.
Our clients move quickly, and so do we.
There will be deadlines, competing priorities and new problems to solve.
As an Accounting Manager, you'll have significant ownership over your client relationships and the opportunity to grow into broader advisory, financial management and leadership responsibilities .
What You'll Do
You'll take ownership of:
Managing a portfolio of client accounts , ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting and reporting work
Leading and overseeing full‐cycle accounting and month‐end close , including reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR and financial statement preparation
Reviewing accounting work and ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency across client deliverables
Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports and financial analysis
Working directly with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions, resolve issues and provide accounting guidance
Managing client deadlines, priorities and deliverables, and proactively communicating when something needs attention
Supporting year‐end compilations, audits, reviews and tax‐related work
Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls
Coaching and supporting more junior members of the accounting team
Taking ownership of more complex accounting issues and helping the team determine the right approach
Supporting advisory and finance projects as they come up
Building strong,
long‐term relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact for their accounting needs
Requirements
What We're Looking For
You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and 5+ years of relevant accounting experience , including significant experience in full‐cycle accounting, month‐end close and financial reporting , with significant experience in a client‐facing accounting, public accounting, audit or advisory environment.
Big Four experience is required for this role.
We're looking for someone who has been exposed to high standards of quality, complex accounting work and demanding client environments, and who is ready to take that experience into a more hands‐on, ownership‐driven role.
You're confident owning full‐cycle accounting, month‐end close and financial reporting , while also reviewing work, managing priorities and ensuring that client deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
You're comfortable working directly with clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals .
You communicate clearly in English and can explain what the numbers mean — not just what the numbers are.
This role is 100% in English , both internally and with clients.
You have experience reviewing or mentoring other accountants and are comfortable providing guidance, giving feedback and taking responsibility for the quality of the work delivered by your team.
You're able to work with at least partial overlap with Eastern Time business hours.
Availability from 9am to 6pm Eastern Time is a plus.
Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Taxprep or CaseWare is a plus, as is experience working with SaaS, technology, fintech or Web3 companies .
A CPA designation or active CPA pursuit is also a plus.
Benefits
Why Convoy?
You'll work with interesting companies, smart people and problems that don't always come with an instruction manual.
You'll have di.
Diagnose the bottleneck, then go fix it.
Creative, offer, AOV, landing page, checkout, tracking.
Nobody is going to reassign it to another team.
Build the things the account needs.
Landing pages, scripts, reporting,
whatever removes the constraint.
We are heavy AI users and we expect you to build, not just prompt.
You are a fit if
You have done this with real money.
Hands on Google Ads at meaningful spend on DTC and eCommerce, with results you can walk us through: CPA, ROAS, revenue, and what you actually changed to get them.
Shopping and PMax specifically, not just search.
You are fluent in the whole stack, not one campaign type.
Search, Shopping, PMax, Demand Gen, YouTube, Merchant Center, GA4, GTM.
Bing is a nice to have.
You are AI native, and you build.
This is a requirement, not a bonus.
You should already be using Claude or equivalent as a working tool rather than a novelty, and you should be able to build and ship a landing page with it.
You can communicate your ideas in English at a native or near native level.
You will be in front of clients constantly.
You need to explain your thinking clearly, sell an idea on its merits, push back when a client is about to force the account into mediocrity, and raise a problem before it becomes a fire.
This matters as much as anything else on this list.
You are skeptical of your own numbers.
You would rather run the holdout than protect the dashboard.
You can work US Eastern business hours for client calls.
Where you live is up to you.
Bonus: you have built or operated your own Shopify store, or you have run Meta at spend too.
You are not a fit if
"That was not my role" is in your vocabulary.
It is the fastest way to end an interview here.
If the feed was the problem on an account you ran, you should have done something about the feed.
You want to be told what to do this week.
You need a ticketing system to know what matters.
You quote blended ROAS as if it settles the question.
Why this role is exciting
This is not a maintenance job.
You would have real influence over how we run Google across the agency.
You will work on real brands with real budgets.
We test aggressively.
We learn quickly.
We build frameworks that scale.
You get trust on day one.
You get a lot of autonomy.
Some people thrive with it.
You will get feedback fast either way, and if you make it through the first 30 days you will probably be here for a long time.
Our retention on this team is very good and that is not an accident.
You will grow into senior strategy.
We want people who want more responsibility.
If you perform, you will grow.
