They combine strategy, creative, and data-driven execution to help universities and organizations achieve measurable growth in enrollments, applications, inquiries, and awareness.Your RoleAs Technical SEO Lead, you'll be the technical SEO expert across a portfolio of higher education partner accounts.
Your work improves their visibility in traditional search, answer engines, and generative AI search.The role has two sides.
The first is technical SEO: you find the issues that affect rankings and traffic, write specs developers can act on, and follow through until fixes are live.
The second is building Claude-based tools and workflows that reduce manual work in audits, reporting, QA, and content production.
That way the team spends its time editing and reviewing rather than starting from scratch.You'll work alongside the SEO Lead and support the Executive Director of SEO.You'llLead technical SEO across client accountsRun technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken linksPrioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those callsWrite dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verifiedHandle light WordPress implementation yourself: titles, meta descriptions, plugin-level redirects, and schema through tools like Yoast or Rank MathMonitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems before clients doOwn technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler aprovement methodologies (Lean,

Solid grasp of core accounting terminology, the contract lifecycle, billing, entitlement, and downstream revenue recognition (including ASC 606 impacts).
Exceptional communication skills and high energy, with genuine comfort proactively reaching out to busy product managers, finance, and legal leaders to map processes and drive alignment.
Proven ability to validate pricing, order, and contract data for troubleshooting, reporting, and building operational dashboards.
Strong analytical, process mapping, and documentation skills, including experience defining non-technical functional specs for technical teams to execute.
General understanding of ERPs (Workday, NetSuite, SAP) and CPQ/CLM tools (Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, Conga, Icertis, DocuSign CLM, Ironclad) and how their data flows into BI platforms.
