Your Role
As Technical SEO Lead, you'll be the technical SEO expert across a portfolio of higher education partner accounts.
Your work improves their visibility in traditional search, answer engines, and generative AI search.
The role has two sides.
The first is technical SEO: you find the issues that affect rankings and traffic, write specs developers can act on, and follow through until fixes are live.
The second is building Claude-based tools and workflows that reduce manual work in audits, reporting, QA, and content production.
That way the team spends its time editing and reviewing rather than starting from scratch.
You'll work alongside the SEO Lead and support the Executive Director of SEO.
You'll
Lead technical SEO across client accounts
Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
Prioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those calls
Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified
Handle light WordPress implementation yourself: titles, meta descriptions, plugin-level redirects, and schema through tools like Yoast or Rank Math
Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems before clients do
Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization, and content structure that LLM-driven search can parse and cite
Build the systems that scale the SEO service
Design and build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for technical audits, issue prioritization, reporting, and QA




Build content production systems that convert briefs, client rules, and optimization targets into near-publish-ready drafts
Translate team standards (writing rules, client guidelines, audit checklists) into reusable systems the whole ts such as Webpack, Rspack, or Vite.
Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar modern styling frameworks.
Experience consuming REST APIs and working with OpenAPI‐based services.
Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues across frontend and backend boundaries.
Experience with modern state management and server‐state patterns such as TanStack Query, React Context, and hooks.
Strong debugging, problem‐solving, and technical decision‐making skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and operational stakeholders.
Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
Experience designing or integrating AI‐agent workflows, AI‐powered interfaces, or automated support operations.
Experience with micro‐frontends or Module Federation.
Experience working with monorepos using pnpm, Turbo, Nx, or similar tools.
Familiarity with Refine, react‐intl, or admin/operations‐focused internal platforms.
Experience developing BFF layers with Node.js / Fastify.
Experience with Python / FastAPI, particularly the ability to understand APIs, propose schema changes, or implement small backend endpoints.
Experience working with PostgreSQL‐backed services and transactional or domain‐oriented APIs.
Experience in FinTech, payments, remittances, customer support platforms, or high‐volume operational systems.
Experience with GCP, including technologies such as OIDC or Pub/Sub.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD in cloud‐native environments.
Familiarity with Storybook, Vitest, and design‐system workflows.
Experience working in fast‐moving startup or scale‐up environments.
