You will own the integrity of financial reporting while building the accounting function itself, setting standards, improving processes, managing stakeholders, supporting audits, and developing accounting teams.You will work closely with US-based finance leaders and ensure that financial information is accurate, timely, compliant, and decision-ready.What You'll DoOwn the accounting function end to end, including the general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, and closeOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and hold the team to the close calendarReview journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statementsEnsure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with US GAAPPrepare and review monthly financial statements and management reportsDefine and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and close proceduresMonitor balance sheet integrity and ensure outstanding issues are resolvedOwn the audit relationship, coordinate audit readiness,



and manage external auditorsSupport tax, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirementsOversee multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions where applicableBuild scalable accounting processes and structure the function to support business growthLead accounting system implementations, migrations, and automation initiativesDevelop SOPs, accounting policies, and reporting standardsLead, review, mentor, and develop accounting team members, and shape how the team is structured as it scalesCommunicate financial risks, accounting issues, and recommendations to senior stakeholdersServe as the accounting point of authority for leadership on the implications of business decisionsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities when requiredWhat We're Looking For10+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience operating as a Head of Accounting, Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Director, or senior Accounting ManagerStrong end-to-end knowledge of accounting operations and financial reportingDeep understanding of US GAAPExperience working with US-based companies, clients, or finance leadersProven ownership of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closeStrong financial statement preparation and review experienceExperience owning audits and working with external auditorsStrong knowledge of internal controls and accounting policiesExperience leading, managing,



or reviewing the work of accounting teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to communicate complex accounting matters clearlyStrong judgment, ownership, and attention to financial accuracyAdvanced proficiency in Excel or Google SheetsExperience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERPsPreferred QualificationsExperience with multi-entity accounting and consolidationsExperience with ERP implementations, migrations, or finance transformation initiativesExperience building or scaling an accounting function or teamExperience supporting board, lender, or management reportingExposure to budgeting, forecasting, or FP&A; collaborationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or equivalent accounting certification is strongly preferredWho Will Thrive in This RoleYou are a hands-on accounting leader who takes complete ownership of financial accuracy and of the function behind it.You are comfortable moving between detailed accounting work and broader financial reporting.
