Versátil, with daily overlap with the European engineering team About the Opportunity On behalf of our client, Sunbytes is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing global SaaS company. Our client builds a digital compliance platform covering privacy, accessibility, and transparency, used by organizations worldwide across thousands of websites. The team is fully remote and collaborates across North America and Europe. In this role, you will design, maintain, and improve the infrastructure behind a live, microservices-based SaaS platform. You will run a hybrid environment spanning Google Cloud, AWS, and on-premise deployments, own CI/CD and Kubernetes operations, and work closely with the European engineering team, including on feature development. It is a hands-on role with real influence on infrastructure decisions and direct access to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Hybrid Infrastructure: Implement and maintain infrastructure across Google Cloud, AWS, and on-premise environments.
• CI/CD Ownership: Set up and maintain deployment pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD.
• Kubernetes Operations: Manage and monitor Kubernetes clusters using Helm.
• Infrastructure as Code: Automate infrastructure and deployment workflows using Terraform.
• Data Layer: Design, implement, and maintain database solutions using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Valkey.
• Reliability & Performance: Improve availability and performance, and implement monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and applications.
• Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
• Security & Compliance:



Support security and regulatory requirements across all infrastructure components.
• Engineering Partnership: Work with development teams to translate requirements into infrastructure solutions and integrate backend systems.
• Feature Development: Contribute new functionality and bug fixes alongside the engineering team in Europe. Requirements Technical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including ArgoCD.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience working with Node.js and React environments.
• Experience with on-premise virtualization (Proxmox) is a big plus. Soft skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills, with professional English.
• Comfortable working with a remote, distributed team across time zones.
