This person will be responsible for the daily coordination between our internal customers and ocean transportation vendors. The position requires interaction with AJC’s functional and commercial teams, as well as external ocean carriers. The adecuado candidate should have strong business acumen, transportation industry knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Essential Duties: (Including but not limited to)
• Analyze booked business and work with Operations and Sales teams to identify timelines for future shipments.
• Identify the best routing for shipments based on product readiness, freezer appointments, trucking availability, and ocean carrier services.
• Request, manage, and administer bookings with ocean transportation vendors and distribute booking information to the Operations team accordingly.
• Address daily tactical issues with internal customers and ocean carriers.




• Coordinate with transportation vendors to ensure timely and efficient shipment execution.
• Identify the core business, key destinations, and strengths of each ocean carrier to determine the best match for AJC’s business needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes and performance and recommend solutions to implement positive changes.

Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Ideally 1–2 years of experience in ocean transportation, logistics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of refrigerated transportation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Experience working with ERP systems, such as Oracle, is preferred. Language

• Candidate is required to read, write, and speak English fluently. English proficiency will be tested during the interview.
