Job Description: Android Engineer

Location: Olivos, Buenos Aires, Argentina (100% On-site)

2. Key Responsibilities

- Application Development: Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications for enterprise use using modern toolkits.
- Hardware Integration: Integrate Android apps with native hardware SDKs to interact seamlessly with barcode scanners, RFID readers, and Bluetooth peripherals.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for battery life, memory usage, and offline capabilities, which are critical in warehouse environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Backend Engineers, iOS Engineers, and QA Automation to deliver cohesive software solutions.
- Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write clean and maintainable code, and contribute to the team's engineering best practices.

3. Must-Have Requirements

- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in native Android development.
- Technical Stack:



Strong proficiency in Kotlin and proven experience building UIs with Jetpack Compose.
- Architecture: Solid understanding of Android architecture components, MVVM/MVI design patterns, and Clean Architecture principles.
- API Integration: Experience connecting Android applications to backend services via RESTful APIs and managing offline data synchronization.
- Language: Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency for communicating with Ampstek leadership.
- Availability: Willingness to work 100% on-site in Olivos, Buenos Aires.

4. Nice-to-Have (Bonus)

- Experience working with rugged enterprise devices or Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
- Familiarity with hardware-level integrations (serial ports, custom SDKs for laser scanners).
- Domain knowledge in Logistics, Supply Chain, Retail, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
