PORTFOLIO CONTROLLER, HOSPITALITY

Scope of work

● Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports for assigned portfolio of approximately 30 properties, including monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial statements, to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process for an assigned portfolio of approximately 30 properties, partnering with Operations and Asset Management to deliver accurate, actionable financial plans.

● Own the general ledger for assigned region, applying critical thinking and decision-making skills to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Independently complete higher complexity accounting work.

● Present financial insights and reports to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner to facilitate useful discussions and good decisions by the operations and asset management teams.

● Ensure compliance with financial aspects of property contracts (management agreements, lease agreements, etc.)

● Prepare financial statements before distribution to our external property owners, ensuring compliance with management agreements and property application of contract terms.

● Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning to support business decisions across finance, operations, and asset management.

● Ensure our centralized/ offshore teams complete reconciliations related to your properties accurately

● Lead Finance's role in assigned process improvement and ad hoc initiatives. Actively seek opportunities to automate manual processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our tech-enabled accounting process.



Partner with offshore team members to identify and implement new areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize resource allocation.

● Build strong relationships with regional teams, acting as a key point of contact for accounting-related matters and ensuring alignment on financial performance. Regularly lead meetings within your assigned region with a focus on financial results.

● Provide a high level of service to property partners and internal teams by delivering timely, thoughtful, and accurate responses.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in the hospitality industry (required).
- Experience managing the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of 10+ hotels or hospitality properties simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience preparing and managing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis for a multi-property portfolio.
- Experience presenting financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and business insights to property owners, ownership groups, or other external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills with the ability to identify financial risks and recommend solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems
- Passion for process improvement, automation, and building scalable finance operations.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Pay: $63,588,000.00 - $93,868,000.00 per year
