The Role

At Sovos, we're building a world-class Renewals organization to strengthen the partnerships we've built with customers around the globe. As a Renewals Specialist, you'll own the renewal process for a portfolio of SaaS accounts, combining sharp negotiation skills with genuine relationship-building to drive retention, identify growth opportunities, and deliver a seamless customer experience. This is a quota-carrying role where your ability to balance advocacy, strategy, and execution will directly impact our success.

More specifically, you will:

- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations and collaborate with Account Management and Customer Success to create comprehensive account plans.




- Lead renewal negotiations with professionalism and clarity, partnering across teams to resolve account issues and remove obstacles to successful renewals.
- Proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within your assigned accounts, leveraging AI tools and customer insights to uncover growth potential.
- Implement renewals best practices that enhance the customer experience, streamline workflows, and improve retention outcomes.
- Maintain operational excellence and predictability in forecasting, consistently meeting or exceeding renewal targets and quota expectations.
- Adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and product offerings, using AI-assisted workflows where applicable to stay efficient and informed.

What You Bring to Sovos

- You've built solid experience in renewals management or account management within the software industry, specifically with SaaS solutions and services.
- You have a demonstrated track record of achieving sales or renewal quotas in a SaaS environment.
- You're a strong negotiator and communicator who can work independently or collaboratively, staying organized and effective even when timelines are tight.
- You're proficient with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable learning new systems; experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus, as is comfort with AI-assisted workflows.
- You're fluent in English and skilled at advocating for customers while upholding company policies and balancing competing stakeholder needs.
- You handle difficult situations with composure and resolve issues promptly, maintaining strong client relationships throughout.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
