We are seeking a
Senior backend-focused Software Engineer
to drive the development of a cloud-native Sustainability Compliance Platform.
In this role, you will work within a dedicated platform team to architect, build, and maintain user-facing features, specialized libraries, and highly efficient data access layers.
The platform optimizes data extraction, validation, and transformation to streamline Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance and reporting for corporate sustainability teams.
The idóneo candidate possesses strong programming foundations and a proven track record of developing scalable, distributed systems.
You will implement microservices and autonomous
AI agents
from design to production, ensuring system observability, high performance, and seamless backend integration.
Operating within a fast-paced, lean engineering environment, you will participate across all stages of the agile software development life cycle (SDLC) to turn complex compliance requirements into clean, maintainable code.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and deploy microservices and serverless applications
utilizing the AWS stack.
Develop and maintain autonomous AI agents and intelligent workflows
from initial design to production environments.
Optimize data extraction, validation, and transformation layers
to support high-scale ESG data processing.
Build, test, and maintain robust data access layers
using relational databases, SQL, and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools.
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of new product features and backend components
within an agile SDLC framework.
Ensure high availability, performance, uptime
,



and horizontal
scaling
across distributed system architectures.
Set up system monitoring
, implement comprehensive logging, and establish testing strategies to facilitate debugging and operations.
Maintain and automate continuous integration and continuous deployment
(CI/CD)
workflows for application testing and deployment.
Must Have
Minimum of 7years of professional experience
in backend software engineering with Nodejs.
Bachelor's or Master's
degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
Proficiency developing serverless
Lambda functions using TypeScript.
Experience constructing agent workflows
using Python, FastAPI, and LangGraph.
Strong expertise in SQL and ORM libraries
such as Drizzle and SQLAlchemy.
Deep understanding of solid programming foundations, including data structures, Object-Oriented Programming
(OOP)
, and design patterns.
Demonstrated ability to leverage
AI coding assistants
to plan, execute, and verify outputs within agentic development workflows.
Experience implementing application monitoring
, structured logging, and automated testing strategies.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining
CI/CD pipelines
via GitHub Actions.
Advanced English Level.
Nice to have
Experience with NoSQL data stores
, specifically Amazon DynamoDB.
Familiarity with Serverless Stack
(SST) frameworks.
Exposure to Amazon Bedrock
for managing foundational AI models.
Basic understanding of frontend integrations using
NextJS.
Experience implementing identity verification and authentication via
Auth0.
