About the Job
At Jetpacks!, we've got opportunities to offer you — for growth, for leadership, for big, world-changing impact and for, dare we say it, fun. We are a new startup committed to helping companies reach new heights together, by unleashing the Latin American power.
And that starts with you :)
Jetpacks! is looking for someone to join our team as Technical Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the delivery of a technical team, making sure they work in a healthy rhythm, ship on time and stay aligned with the client's goals.
This isn't a "just run the meetings" kind of role. We're looking for someone who understands how software actually gets built, and who brings strong project management skills to keep scope, timelines and stakeholders in check.
Role Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives) for one or more engineering teams.
- Partner with Product Owners and Tech Leads to keep a healthy, prioritized and well-refi ned backlog, with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Plan and track delivery across sprints and releases, managing scope, timelines, estimates, risks and cross-team dependencies.
- Use your technical background to understand architecture and implementation trade-offs, ask the right questions and help the team break down complex work.
- Identify and remove blockers quickly, whether they are technical, organizational or related to external dependencies.
- Act as the main point of contact between the engineering team, the client and other stakeholders, communicating progress,
risks and decisions clearly and proactively.
- Define, track and report delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown, predictability) and use them to drive continuous improvement.
- Coach the team on Agile practices and foster a culture of ownership, transparency and collaboration.
- Keep Jira (or similar tools) and project documentation organized and up to date.
How will you be supported?
You'll be onboarded to the tech team organization. You will be part of a team and will communicate with them via Slack and Google Meet. Periodic 1-on-1 meetings will be held to ensure you are successful and are having a productive and enjoyable experience.
Role Requirements
We want all new hires to succeed in their roles at Jetpacks!. That's why we've outlined the job requirements below. To be considered for this role, it's important that you meet all Minimum Qualifications. If you do not meet all of the Preferred Qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager or similar role working with software development teams.
- Previous hands-on experience as a software developer (2+ years), or a strong technical background that lets you engage in technical discussions with engineers.
- Solid knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and Agile frameworks,
and experience facilitating ceremonies with distributed teams.
- Experience managing project scope, timelines, estimations, risks and dependencies.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, QA processes and release management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working directly with clients.
- Advanced English level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile or project management certifications such as PSM I/II, CSM, PMP or SAFe.
- Experience working with US-based clients.
- Experience coordinating multiple teams or scaling Agile across a program.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and modern web or mobile stacks.
