Physical hardware swap outs at the Sacramento colocation facility are now handled directly by the facility operator (NTT), so this role is about architecture, coordination, and keeping everything that isn't physical hands running cleanly, not about being on site.Ideally this is scoped as a managed service package along with the Infrastructure and Platform Operations Lead and Senior Database Engineer/DBA.Responsibilities:Administer Windows Server and Active Directory, including Entra ID sync, GPOs, LAPS,



and domain security groupsOperate and maintain the VMware vSphere and vCenter environment across roughly 20 ESXi hosts, including storage, firmware, and vSANPlan and execute hardware refresh cycles and capacity upgrades within budget, including host and storage lifecycle decisionsCoordinate with the colocation facility on rack and power management, maintenance notices, invoice checks, contract and SLA renewals, and certified destruction of retired hardware under SOC 2 control requirementsAdminister firewalls, VPN, and load balancing, including an in-progress migration to F5 BIG-IP, and maintain WAN routing to AWS and carrier circuitsManage public DNS, domain renewals, and the recurring cycle of TLS and wildcard certificate renewalsOwn backup and disaster recovery for infrastructure and virtual machines, including running at least one DR restore test a year to satisfy SOC 2 requirementsCarry 24x7 on-call rotation for infrastructure alerts and lead incident response for issues in this domainManage vendor and license renewals and cost modeling for infrastructure spend, working with FinanceWorkplace: Remote contract roles for candidates residing in LATAM, preferably ArgentinaMust Have Skills:5 years of Windows Server administration and Active Directory or Entra ID management,



including GPOs and LAPS4 years of VMware vSphere and vCenter administration at multi host scale3 years coordinating with a colocation or data center facility provider, contract and SLA management, not hands on physical work2 years of enterprise network and firewall administration, including VPN and load balancer platformsDirect ownership of a backup and disaster recovery program, including running restore or DR tests in a SOC 2 or similarly regulated environmentExperience with 24x7 on-call rotation for production infrastructure incidentsPreferred Skills:AWS experience, VPC, ALB, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, and cost rightsizing, for hybrid on-prem and cloud environmentsExperience with Cisco or FortiGate enterprise network hardwareDNS and TLS certificate management experience, including public zone records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CAA)Scripting or automation experience for OS and patch management at scaleExperience with a prior data center or infrastructure migration (moving a workload from one facility or provider to another)Professional Skills:Solid English written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsStrong team and individual playerMaintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by natureHigh standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality resultsSelf-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or interventionDemonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issuesCulture Fit:Comfortable owning a system end to end, calm under a 2am page, and honest when something is going to take longer than hoped rather than quietly hoping it resolves itself.Bridgenext is an Equal Opportunity Employer#LI-CP1#LI-REMOTE
