ContentJet is a creative and performance marketing company that works with clients and creators around the world.
We're a remote, international team of about 60 people across the Americas, Europe and Asia, with entities in Canada and the UAE.We're looking for a Bookkeeper / Accounting Operations Specialist to take full ownership of our day-to-day accounting.
You'll report directly to our CEO and work alongside our external accountants.
You'll also have real room to improve how we do things.This isn't a data-entry role.
If an invoice is missing, you'll notice.
If a payment doesn't match, you'll investigate.
If the P&L; looks off compared with last month, you'll flag it.Responsibilities:Accounts receivable & invoicingCreate and send client invoices and keep an accurate invoice registryTrack outstanding payments and follow up professionally with clientsMatch and reconcile payments received through bank accounts, Stripe and other methodsKeep management updated on late and outstanding paymentsAccounts payable & paymentsCollect and verify invoices from contractors, creators,



influencers and suppliersPrepare payment batches for management approval and track upcoming obligationsMake sure every payment is properly recorded in QuickBooksManage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online for our Canadian and UAE entities, including intercompany transactionsReconcile bank accounts, credit cards and StripeSpot discrepancies and get to the bottom of themMonth-end & reportingPrepare the P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, AR/AP reports and a monthly performance summary for leadershipExperience3+ years of professional bookkeeping experienceHands-on experience with AR, AP, client invoicing and bank and credit-card reconciliationsExperience preparing a monthly P&L; and Balance SheetComfort working across multiple companies, currencies and bank accountsVery good written and spoken English (it's our official working language)A proactive, ownership mindset: you ask questions when something doesn't add upBookkeeping for Canadian companies, or familiarity with UAE bookkeeping or VATMulti-entity or multi-currency accountingBackground at an agency or professional services firmWorking directly with external accountants or CPAs
