Role Description The Spanish Medical Interpreter OPI/VRI role is a full-time, remote position that provides over-the-phone and video remote interpretation services between Spanish and English. Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately conveying medical information between patients and healthcare professionals, preserving meaning, tone, and intent while maintaining confidentiality and neutrality. The interpreter will use company platforms to connect to scheduled and on-demand sessions, follow established protocols,



and adhere to professional and ethical standards.

The role also involves ongoing participation in free company-provided training, skill refreshers, and quality assurance activities. Collaboration with coordinators and support teams to ensure timely availability, clear documentation, and excellent service delivery is expected.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Medical Interpretation skills, with the ability to work effectively in clinical, hospital, and telehealth settings.
- Candidates should possess solid Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpretation skills to convey messages accurately and efficiently in real time.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Translation and related language transfer skills for written or supplemental materials when needed.
- Candidates should possess a strong command of Medical Terminology in both Spanish and English to ensure precise and safe communication.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and excellent proficiency in English, with clear, professional communication.
- High-speed internet access, a quiet remote workspace, and comfort using OPI/VRI platforms and basic computer tools.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and ability to remain calm in urgent or sensitive medical encounters.
- Prior medical interpreting experience, interpreter certifications, or relevant training are highly beneficial; willingness to complete company-provided training is required.
- Availability to work a consistent full-time schedule, including possible evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
