- Own the monthly close for a portfolio of clients: review our accounting team's work, make final entries, and deliver accurate, on-time financial statements.
- Be the main financial contact for those clients. Send monthly reports, answer questions, and walk owners and board members through their results.
- Direct and coach our accounting associates: delegate clearly, review their work and help them improve.
- Investigate anything unusual, fix what you can, and bring a recommendation when you need senior input.
- Run US payroll for clients who use us for payroll, mostly in Gusto. This is about a quarter of the role, and we'll train you.
- Over time, take on analysis, FP&A; and project work supporting our CFOs on larger clients.
What you bring
- An accounting degree (Contador Público or equivalent) and 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including month-end close.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or another cloud accounting system. If you haven't used QuickBooks Online, you'll get certified in your first month.
- Professional English, spoken and written. You'll work directly with US business owners and board members.
- An eye for detail and the habit of checking that the numbers make sense before anything goes out.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- A service mindset: you like helping people, communicate proactively and follow through.
- Availability to work until at least 2:00 PM Pacific time (6:00 PM in Argentina for most of the year, 7:00 PM from November to March), with occasional later client meetings.
- Experience at an accounting firm serving multiple US clients
- US payroll experience, especially with Gusto
- BILL, Ramp or similar tools
- FP&A;, budgeting or financial modeling
- Power BI, or using AI tools for analysis
Why you’ll like working here
- Real ownership. These are your clients, and you'll work directly with the people who run them.
- A clear path to grow into FP&A;, larger-client work and senior controller roles, working alongside experienced US controllers and CFOs.
- Balance. Fully remote, with 20 days of paid time off, 5 sick days, and US firm holidays off.
- A small team where your work is visible. Good ideas about processes and tools get put into practice.
- Teammates in Argentina who already do client-facing work with our US clients.
