Are you an accounting professional based in Peru looking to gain international experience and strengthen your knowledge of U.S. accounting practices?
Our client, a well-established accounting and tax firm in South Florida, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong accounting fundamentals and a desire to grow professionally. This is an excellent opportunity to work with U.S. business clients, collaborate with experienced accounting professionals, and develop your knowledge of U.S. tax processes through hands-on training and guidance.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple U.S.-based clients.
- Record and categorize transactions using QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Review transactions and identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end activities.
- Prepare basic financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Support the team with administrative tasks related to accounting operations.
- Assist with organizing tax documents and basic tax-related data entry under the guidance of the firm's team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Based in Peru.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal (everyday communication with the team and clients will be in English)
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to learn U.S. tax processes and assist with administrative and tax-related tasks as needed.
Nice to have: Experience with U.S. clients or a CPA firm, familiarity with U.S. tax forms such as W-2s
