Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross-platform peer-to-peer communications application.
- Implement UI/UX features using React and the Pear runtime.
- Optimize frontend performance, including rendering and memory management.
- Write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Test and debug complex frontend applications.
- Contribute to P2P and distributed-systems functionality in a remote, globally distributed team.

Requirements

- Proven production-scale experience with React or Preact.
- Strong competency with modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with state management such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar tools.
- Ability to write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong frontend testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.




- Good communication skills and comfort working remotely with a globally distributed team.
- Preferred: experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar desktop application runtimes.
- Preferred: familiarity with WebRTC, media streams, video/audio APIs, and real-time communication.
- Preferred: experience building cross-platform applications for macOS, Windows, Linux, or similar platforms.
- Bonus: contributions to open-source projects, especially in P2P or decentralized technology.
