About the Role
Our client, a progressive development and infrastructure consulting firm in the heart of Sandton , is seeking an innovative Civil Engineer specializing in Urban Development and Planning. This role is crucial for shaping the future of urban landscapes, focusing on the integration of infrastructure with land use planning to create sustainable and functional environments within Gauteng . You will be involved in master planning, site development design, and the coordination of infrastructure services for large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop master plans and site development designs for urban projects, incorporating infrastructure services.
- Design and coordinate the provision of roads, stormwater drainage, water supply, and sanitation systems for new developments.
- Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and prepare design documentation for municipal approvals.
- Liaise with town planners, architects, environmental consultants, and municipal authorities.
- Manage project aspects related to land development, ensuring compliance with zoning, environmental, and engineering standards.
- Contribute to the conceptualization and strategic planning of sustainable urban infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
- ECSA registration as a Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on land and urban development.
- Proficiency in CAD software for site layout and infrastructure design.
- Experience in navigating municipal planning processes and obtaining development approvals.
- Understanding of land surveying, environmental considerations, and urban design principles.
