The role will primarily involve supporting DPI’s Argentina business area and broader strategic initiatives. The role includes a diverse set of responsibilities, including leading government relations, external & internal communications, advising leaders on reputational matters, assisting with strategic initiatives, and driving the implementation of the Global Communications Strategy in Argentina. There will be significant interaction with senior leadership across the business area as well as the need to collaborate across boundaries. The position will report to the Vice President of DPI Communications with day-to-day accountability to the Country President of Argentina and will require occasional travel. Key areas of responsibility: •Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in Argentina (including the Neuquen province and other provinces as appropriate) in industry, federal, provincial and local governments •Advise Equinor Argentina Country President on reputational matters and provide support as needed •Build Equinor’s profile and brand, and manage the company’s reputation both internally and externally in Argentina •Identify, assess and manage key risks to Equinor Argentina •Advise and coordinate involvement at key energy related exhibitions, conferences and events •In-country media relations support •Proactive internal engagement and leadership communications •Work within a matrix organization to engage with communications, political and public affairs and media relations teams globally to manage the broader reputational issues related to political and social developments •Develop communications strategies and materials for speaking opportunities, internal stories, town halls, presentations, social media and other relevant items in both Spanish and English Qualifications •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field •Minimum 10 years of relevant experience •Established network among Argentinian industry and government stakeholders •Spanish language •Proven proficiency in English •Ability to develop compelling narratives & quality content •Good understanding of communication channels •Knowledgeable of geo-political and external events that impact the industry and shape Equinor’s international business •Capable of organizing and running multi-dimensional projects •Demonstrated ability to do more with less working in a lean organization •Experience working in a global setting with an ability to work and have impact across countries and cultures •Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications Personal Qualities •Ability to live by our safety and security expectations •Strong commitment to safety •A team player that enjoys working with others •Self-starter who can drive projects with little direction •Curious about the world and a thirst for learning •Attention to detail •Ability to drive several initiatives at once •Positive outlook •Strong values, ethics and integrity We Offer Not just a job: a career.
