About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex M&A; transactions from inception to closing.
- Conduct and oversee due diligence investigations for target companies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents, including share purchase agreements and term sheets.
- Advise clients on deal structuring, regulatory approvals, and potential risks.
- Manage junior lawyers and support staff involved in transactions.
- Liaise with clients, financial advisors, and other stakeholders throughout the deal process.
Requirements
- Admitted Attorney with 7+ years of experience, specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions .
- Proven track record of successfully managing significant M&A; deals.
- In-depth knowledge of South African corporate law, securities regulations, and M&A; market practices.
- Exceptional legal drafting, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor junior legal professionals.
- Experience working in a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department in Sandton .
