About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead optimization efforts within their industrial operations in Sandton . This role demands a strategic thinker capable of analyzing complex production systems and implementing significant improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across departments to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This hybrid position combines on-site problem-solving with the flexibility of remote work for analysis and planning. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of major process improvement projects across the organization.
- Utilize advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines for process upgrades.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in problem-solving and project execution.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align process improvements with business strategy.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of process changes and ensure sustained results.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Over 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering or industrial engineering, with a focus on manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex improvement initiatives and managing projects.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
