They're among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.We're looking for a Risk Manager to support our growing retail credit portfolio within the second line of defence.




You'll make data-driven decisions on risk-adjusted return requirements and lead preventive and reactive actions that impact portfolio credit performance and profitability in Peru.What you'll be doingOverseeing retail credit risk exposure to ensure the portfolio remains within defined safety parametersProviding second-line oversight and challenge over first-line credit activities to maintain independent governanceEnsuring compliance with BCRP requirements, specifically regarding debtor classification, arrears treatment, and provisioningManaging risk appetite through the precise calibration and continuous monitoring of credit limitsReviewing and challenging risk models in collaboration with the Risk Modelling team to ensure predictive accuracyEngaging with local regulators (BCRP, SBS) and internal committees on material credit exposures and regulatory reportingQuantifying risk exposures, assessing the impact of regulatory classifications and required financial provisioningGoverning emerging risks and conducting risk assessments for new retail product launchesMaintaining key policies and controls to standardize credit risk management across the local operationProtecting the company from excessive risk-taking to optimize long-term costs and maintain institutional reputationWhat you'll need4+ years of retail credit risk experience (not including wholesale/treasury experience)Knowledge of key products, like unsecured personal loans, credit cards, and BNPLA solid understanding of credit policy governance framework,



and the ability to work through the three lines of defence in a competent mannerFamiliarity with retail credit risk regulations in Peru (BCRP, SBS)Expertise in retail credit risk modelling (PD/ECL)The ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical risk guidance and challenge first-line decisionsGreat communication and stakeholder management skillsFluency in EnglishNice to haveA degree or certification in risk managementExperience implementing third-party/vendor and model risk programmesFamiliarity with data or MI tools (e.g., SQL or BI tools) for analysis and review purposesExperience supporting regulatory interactions, inspections, or audits related to credit riskExperience in business credit lendingBuilding a general financial super app isn't enough.
