About the RoleOur client is actively seeking a skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their security team based in Sandton .
This role is dedicated to proactively identifying vulnerabilities in the organisation's systems, networks, and applications before malicious actors can exploit them.
You will conduct comprehensive security assessments, simulate real-world attacks, and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations for remediation.
The adecuado candidate is a curious and methodical individual with a passion for finding security weaknesses and helping to strengthen the organisation's defenses.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform network, web application, and system penetration tests using various methodologies and tools.Identify and exploit vulnerabilities, documenting findings and their potential impact.Develop detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, risks, and recommended remediation strategies.Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.Stay current with the latest penetration testing techniques, tools,
and threat landscapes.Conduct security reviews of new systems and applications during the development lifecycle.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GPEN) are highly advantageous.3-5 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing.Proficiency with a wide range of security testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
