About the RoleOur client is seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Lead Research Scientist to head their Genomics division in Sandton .
You will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of genomic research, leading a team of scientists, and driving innovation in areas such as personalized medicine and disease research.
This leadership role requires a deep scientific understanding of genomics, coupled with strong project management and team-building skills, to ensure the successful execution of complex research initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of large-scale genomic research projects, including whole-genome sequencing and analysis.Manage, mentor, and guide a team of genomics researchers and technicians.Develop and optimize cutting-edge genomic analysis pipelines and methodologies.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance research goals and identify new opportunities.Interpret complex genomic data, translating findings into actionable insights for therapeutic development.Ensure the highest standards of scientific rigor,



reproducibility, and data integrity in all genomic research.RequirementsPh.D.
