About the RoleOur client is a leading financial institution that places a high priority on security and is looking for a skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst focusing on Network Security .
Based in Sandton , you will be responsible for protecting the organization's network infrastructure and sensitive data from cyber threats.
This role involves monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, implementing preventative measures, and contributing to the overall security strategy.
You will be a key player in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the company's digital assets in a constantly evolving threat landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing forensic analysis and recommending remediation steps.Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), and VPNs.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate network weaknesses.Develop and maintain security policies, procedures,
and documentation.Provide security awareness training and guidance to IT staff and end-users.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on network security.Proficiency with network security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, NAC).
