About the Role Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Sports Performance to lead their athlete development programs in Sandton . This senior leadership role is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive performance enhancement strategies that encompass strength and conditioning, nutrition, injury prevention, and sports science. You will manage a team of specialists, collaborate closely with coaching staff, and ensure the application of cutting-edge methodologies to optimize athlete potential.

Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement a holistic sports performance strategy for elite athletes and teams.

- Oversee all aspects of strength and conditioning, athletic training, and injury rehabilitation programs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of performance specialists.
- Integrate sports science, nutrition, and psychological support into performance plans.




- Collaborate with head coaches to align performance strategies with team objectives.
- Monitor athlete progress, analyze performance data, and adapt programs as needed.

Requirements - Master's or Doctoral degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in sports performance, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity at an elite level.
- Demonstrated expertise in program design, athlete monitoring, and sports science research .
- Experience managing and developing a team of performance professionals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills .
- Familiarity with managing operations in a hybrid setting.
